Jasmine di Milo

Pretty pretty dresses at Jasmine di Milo! Was looking for a mention of Filipino designer Lesley Mobo in the runway review but there was no reference to him whatsoever...Anyway, this was a great collection! Fun and feminine pieces that just makes you happy to be a born a girl! Woohoo! I mean, uhm Yippee!

Designer Jasmine Al Fayed (yup, she's Dodi's half-sister) and Jessica Stam

So why the label Di Milo when she's obviously an Al Fayed? Well, she combined her name with Venus, the Roman goddess of love. Another reason, as disclosed in an interview with the Guardian, is that "On a more personal level, Milo is also the nickname of her younger sister, Camilla, and also, when "the statue was found in the sea, nobody knew anything about her. She was untouched and unknown; you could really make of her what you wanted."

I just bought a Jasmine De milo from a recent trip to Joyce in HK. I must say say the dress stood out from all the endless selections of Chloe, Balenciaga, etc etc. Just one dress that said it all. I didnt even know who jasmine is. I am happy to know there are more Jasmine enthusiasts here in Manila. There's something about her design that talks to the jaded shopper.

Oooh! Great choice! Yeah, her dresses are really fab and so very feminine! Stand-outs as you've said! Maybe it helps that she's so rich she can afford anything, so she designs with the sort of mindset that the clothes have to be something that will be different from the labels other girls typically wear =)
