Smashbox O-Glow

Eat your heart out Ponds! Smashbox has something new that might just make you blush in shame.

The product, called Smashbox O-Glow, is guaranteed to give every girl a rosy flush! You heard that right. Every girl, from the darkest damsel to the fairest, whitest princess can now have that charming blushing schoolgirl look all day every day. Its practically like love at first sight. The folks at Smashbox think of it as "instant chemistry as your complexion is transformed from so-so to oh-so-glowing!"

What makes this product different from the other blushes in the market today is that this is the "first intuitive blush". It comes in a clear gel, but it "reacts with your personal skin chemistry to turn cheeks the exact color you blush, naturally in just seconds!" And like I said earlier, its not only possible for those with rosy white skin, because "O-GLOW works on every skin tone, from the lightest to the darkest, to give everyone a naturally gorgeous glow."

Before you think its just another hype, there's a science behind this. According to the Smashbox website, "When applied, your skin's moisture activates the energizing Goji Berry-C Complex™. It creates a microcirculatory effect, producing a rosy flush that lasts all day. This revolutionary silicone-based clear gel works on every skin tone and is microcirculating and skin energizing to keep cheeks naturally flushed for hours. O-GLOW's unique Goji Berry-C Complex™ formula is full of antioxidants like vitamin C, pomegranate seed oil and marine plankton for added healthy-skin benefits."

If this tagline won't hook you enough, I don't know what else will - "The completely natural looking, preservative and fragrance-free formula glides on smoothly for a healthy, glowing blush that's you, only prettier". Who doesn't want to be prettier for just $26.00? That's what I call Hope in a Tube!

my friend got this and told me about it. I am not such a fan of cheek gels (not sure how to apply it right) but I am going to give O-Glow a try. not able to grab one lately, out of stock sa Nordstrom but hopefully soon. sephora perhaps.

Hi Raissa! Good luck on the search! Tell us all about it once you get it! =) I normally use cheek stains, cheek gels or cheek creams because I don't know how to use powder blush naman! What I normally do is apply it on the apple of my cheeks and swipe it on the bridge of my nose for that natural flushed look. I just use my hands to spread it. But I learned that you have to spread fast, especially with cheek stains kasi they tend to get concentrated really fast and I end up with really red cheeks, and its a bit hard to make it look even. But I just keep on practicing anyway =)

Cheek gel/stain/cream girls, any tips?

Ruby help! How do you apply O-Glow?

Hello!!!

Ok..i can recommend another cheek stain that is so natural and beautiful. I just don't know if it is still available locally, though.

1. MAC See Thru Cheek COlor in Subtle Hint. This one really gives a natural tint and has that sheen on the apple of your cheeks. The bottle comes with a sponge-type of applicator and you can't go wrong with that one. You just have to dab and apply in a circular motion. However, difficulty arises when you're almost halfway thru with the content. The liquid tint has a hard time coming out so you will have to squeeze the plastic bottle a little harder. Thus control is now a bigger issue here.

2. Until I discovered Smashbox O-Glow! The finish is so smooth and application is a lot easier than MAC's. (Sorry, MAC, but I still love you!) Why do I like this one? This is because a small quantity on your fingertip goes a long way! I just apply in a circular motion and it spreads easily. Nice and natural...

Hope this helps! Let me know what you think... :D

Thanks Ruby! Kulit ba namin? Hahaha!

Thanks Ruby for the tips in application. I will also check out that MAC product but thats what my friend said about O-Glow that a small dot goes a long way.

cd i have more control with powder blush naman LOL I like blushes from Benefit. sure thing once I try O-Glow out I will let you know. Its starting to be summer so super-made up face is out.

Ruby! Hahaha! Oo nga minsan I get confused as to where I left a comment! Mas popular kasi kikay exchange so mas productive if I share there! Hahaha!

hi thanks for sharing this! i would love to try it too. i tried asking beauty bar for available stock through their "talk to us" feature. unfortunately, it literally means "talk to us", they don't listen. it's been two days since i inquired and i still don't have a reply from them. what's a vain geek girl got to do?? *sighs* i guess i'll just call them.

You're welcome takejiro! I'll keep you posted when I find out if O-Glow is still available in Beauty Bar =)

hi cd!!! i finally got my o-glow at sephora. the lady i spoke to was really nice and helpful because i asked if i should put it on before the foundation or not and either way, it's ok.
it is so cool! i love it. it glides on really nicely. my only concern is that since its still kind of cold, i feel like it dries to quickly and im not able to distribute it well. maybe this summer will be better.
thanks again for letting me know about this :0)
