Save Me!

If the Lanvins are not giving me a second chance (talk about the moment passing me by...), then I am seriously hoping that Isabel Marant will save me...

I've actually tried on these Isabel Marant Avela boots at Bird in Brooklyn, but it was a size too big for me. They didn't have it in my size so I really wasn't feeling it at the time. But the leather was soft and slouchy and the boots, if it were the right size, would have been comfy. Now if only I can still find these in my size somewhere out there...

Loeffler Randall Matilde boots are another option, but I'm not too hot about the 1" wedge. I prefer the "heel" to be hidden (as with the Lanvins)or for the boots to be totally flat, but hey this is quite good still. I mean, I considered the LR Emmy D-ring boots previously, and this is way flatter...

I'll be researching on the recommendations of Cathy as well! Hope my search for the perfect black boots will finally come to a fruition! I need to get this out of my head because I've been staring into space for days now! My mind is just full of images of boots - at the pinnacle of which are the Lanvins... So I will be venturing out this afternoon in search of the perfect pair as none of my beloved flats are going to keep my feet warm during these freezing times!

Btw, for shopaholic who is looking for flat boots in Manila, here are the Zara boots that I was talking about in the comments section of my previous post! These are pretty good and are totally sold out here! Maybe these are still available in Manila!

UPDATE: According to Ruby of Schu, the Zara boots are still available, but in limited sizes in Glorietta! Thanks Ruby! Girls, Go! Go! Go! =)

J'adore Isabel Marant. It has that ultra cool avant-garde feel like Martin Margiella which I have been loving so much these days.

Anyways there's a new store in Manila that you should check out, it's called "..." and carries See by Chloe, Eley Kishimoto, McQ by Alexander McQueen, Whyred, Erokritos, etc. It's a nice store if you're into that edgy avant garde fashion thing! :)

If you're on the ultimate search for boots I suggest a pair from Hermes or Chanel (if only they won't cost an arm and a leg)...

A pair of Hermes boots! What more if they're in croc leather? haha... a good reason to lust over material goods

Update! Ruby told me that she saw those flat Zara boots in Glorietta! Limited sizes though! Go while they still have it!

Hi Belle! It's practically sold out here, since I'm not even considering sizes 39 and 40 hehehe! Try there! Maybe they still have it on your side of the coast! Good luck!!!

I super love Isabel Marant's stuff too Gian! Slouchy and laid-back but still so feminine! Sigh! Oh, I went to Bergdorf and they actually had Chanel boots on sale, but they weren't me. Had those metal plates on the heels and cut-outs...mas bagay kay Kaiser Karl yun, hehehe! And yeah, I will definitely check out that place you told me about when I get back home! Thanks for the heads up! =)

Hi there! I stumbled across your blog whilst googling for something or other (fashion-related) and really adore your style. The Steve Madden gold flats you have pictured in this entry, do you know the name of them? Or perhaps, you can tell me from what season you'd purchased them? I really like metallic flats, but find the solid ballet ones to be rather bland. The cut-outs you have here are stunning.

Thanks judy! I don't remember the name, but I bought this pair July 2006, so I highly doubt if these are still around! Although Steve Madden makes variations of previous designs so I would watch out for similar Steve Madden flats in stores! I do hope you find a pair as these are very comfortable! Good luck in your search! =)
