Pinoy Pride

I find it cool that Vanessa Hudgens takes pride in being part Filipino! (click on image to enlarge and check out lower right portion!)

As seen on the September 2008 issue of Teen Vogue!

For some reason, I'm a bit disappointed that she was on the cover. I don't know why I feel that way though...randomness. Regardless..It's also good to know she's proud to be pinoy

I always admired her talent but I had no clue she was part Filipino!

Just submitted this on Philippines News Vote :)

She looks really sweet on the cover, and despite her nudepic scandal last year, i still like her. Good to know she's not hiding her Pinoy blood.

Hi anon! I've heard that she is part-Filipino, but I am not entirely sure if she is though! I'll keep my eyes and ears open on that! =) As for COH jeans, I got mine from Mix in Greenbelt years ago at about the same price, so I would think that's a good deal given that Souk's price has been stable without even adjusting for inflation! But if you can wait, maybe it would be better to get it in the US because I've seen these jeans pop up in TJ Maxx and the outlet stores!

You're welcome anon! Hmmm, with tons of new denim brands popping up each season, it's hard to say which ones are still hot or not. But personally, I think when it comes to denims, it really is the cut and fit that should matter. When you find a pair that fits you well, go for it, regardless of the label! I find that COHs fit me very well, that's why I bought them then, it's just that I am not into bootleg cuts lately. I also like J Brand jeans, they are worth checking out too! =)

i think j brand jeans will suit me too bec i'm petite like you. it's just that i'm looking for a good pair of bootleg or straight cut jeans. i used to like levi's marissa cut but after years of service, i'm not liking it anymore. the denim has become rough that i sometimes feel that it chafes my skin. hehehe...thank you for taking the time to answer all my Qs! :=)

You're welcome anon! I used to wear a lot of Levis too, and that's true, they get so stiff after a while =) Try 7 for all Mankind as well because their denims are really soft and their straight cut/bootleg jeans fit so well too!

Just wanted to comment - Rachel Bilson is not part-Pinoy. She's half-Italian.

I can't believe Cosmo Philippines (apparently the largest-circulated women's glossy in the country) printed that on their cover a few years ago.
