November 11 was the exclusive preview of Lacoste Footwear's Spring Summer 2009 Collection. And while I was not able to go since I am still so far away from home, my sister Nicole and her friends were more than happy to go on my behalf! After all, Lacoste footwear has a special place in Nic's heart, she wore a pair of black Mary Janes with the ubiquitous alligator through her high school years! Yes, it lasted that long, it was that sturdy! Of course, it was also stylish.

For ladies, I'm loving these feminine versions of boat shoes! I've seen a variety of reincarnations of this style, derived from those classic Sperry Top-Siders. From fun & funky Marc Jacobs to luxe Balenciaga, this reasonably priced version takes the cake!
But if sporty sleek is more your thing, then these classic Similees (they come with laces or with straps!) will definitely get your groove on.
