Oh Madeline!

I may be the eldest child in our family, but it seems my younger siblings have influenced me more than I have them, haha! Take my affinity for Ludwig Bemelmans's precocious heroine Madeline for instance. My youngest sister Nicole really got me hooked on the cartoon series. She would force all of us to watch it with her and apart from our brother Andrew, we would all happily oblige...

Such a cute character! Plus I love her French accent! Oui! Oui!

I also adore the other characters in the show like Pepito (the Spanish Ambassador's son), Miss Clavel, the little girls who walk in two straight lines, and Lord Cucuface! Eeep! I can't wait to have Berry watch the videos with me! And I'll buy her the books too!

I'm also thinking of getting this mini straw boater hat from Pixie Market for her, because it reminds me of Madeline's hat in a way. It will definitely fit her...

And she won't easily lose it...

Maybe I can even borrow it? Ugh! The cuteness!

I miss Madeline. When I was in grade school I remember being often asked who your favorite cartoon character was, and everyone would answer one of the Sailor Moon girls or Hello Kitty... then I'd answer Madeline. Then everyone's just hmm who's that? I'm glad someone appreciates her too.

Oh, and I went to a Catholic girls' school when I was younger so the image of the nun with her group of students is so nostalgic! (:

Oh yes! Said in a French accent too! I remember us doing that Trina hahaha!

You are not alone Eunice! =) Oh, and my sisters and I did too! Maybe that's why I could so relate to girls walking in two straight lines, that's how we would line up in the corridors to get to the chapel or the gym, haha!
