Style SOS: Lovers in Paris

Hi Christine,

I'm a big fan of your blog, it provides loads of inspiration for me. I've been following it for a few years now. I'm a Filipina but I was born in US. Your blog is a great source for Filipino fashion. I love knowing what's going on at home. I actually have a question for you, I was wondering do you happen to watch Lovers in Paris? There is this dress that Karen wears in the episode that aired on 10/26/09, a cream floor-length? Here's a clip (at 7:56):

I was wondering do you know who made it and if it was by a Filipino designer?

Best,
Jen

Dear Jen,

Thanks so much for your email! I am very happy to keep you in the loop as to what's going on back home. You actually are more updated than I am when it comes to Pinoy shows! About your question, I actually like the gown myself too and would love to know where it's from! I did a bit of sleuthing but with a lack of Philippine fashion magazines here, I have decided maybe the folks back home can help us.

So please! Any one out there who can tell us who made Karen's dress? Here are the details! Maybe a kind reader knows someone who does the styling for the show? =)

Any leads would be much appreciated! =)

I believe its a gown by Francis Libiran... its the same gown that rica peralejo wore to the star magic ball

re maricar's gown, it might be the same designer who made her gown for the recent star magic ball. it has similar details, cut and even the color. forgot his name though.

ooopss... what i meant was mariel rodriguez's gown at the star magic ball. sorry. so again, karen's gown reminds me of mariel's gown at the star magic ball. might be from the same designer. :D

Hi. I just finished watching the finale of Lovers in Paris. I am dying searching for that dress Vivian (KC Concepcion) wore in the end prior the wedding scene. The scene where she was finishing typing her movie script. It is a white ruffle, sleeveless, above the knee length dress. I want to know where I can buy one. THank you.
PS. I'll try to post pictures of the dress, if i can. Thanks a million.

Most probably, RELIGIOSO (in Greenbelt 5 and Shangri-La Mall) has it. RELIGIOSO's style is the crisp, chic and classic with a twist... I'm sure you'll find something similar if not exact, or maybe even better.

If the prices are too steep, watch out for their warehouse sale starting tomorrow, I think, at Kapitolyo,Pasig. All items are below 1,000 pesos! (from the original 3-5k).
