Safe for Solids

If you have a baby in the family, or have friends who have babies, I highly recommend these fresh food feeders from Munchkin. Berry started eating solids when she turned 6 months old and I would always find myself worried that she might choke on her food. My Mom said that a friend of ours made her baby suck on fruit in a mesh/gauze bag to keep her from choking. I did a little bit of research online and the Munchkin food feeder popped up!

I bought a pack from Target for about $7. Along with a pacifier clip for about $5 because Berry loves to drop things. Pretty sweet deal. Berry finds her food easier to grasp, and I feel a lot more comfortable knowing she won't be able to bite off more than she can chew, literally.

Thanks Belle! Yes! She started na, it's so fun to watch her expression everytime she tries something new! Berry likes it nga, esp when it's a frozen banana inside!

Anon, my aren't we impatient. Yeah, that's pretty much how it works. It basically lets the babies suck out the juices (fruits, vegetables even chicken accdg to the package instructions) and whatever gets through the gauze so they can enjoy their food w/o the risk of choking.

You're welcome Anon! Yes, get one for your daughter too!

i love munchkin products! aside from the fact that they're bpa-free, their products are really well-thought of for babies. my son has one, too, and i can't wait for him to start using it next month :) i hope he enjoys using it, too, like berry.

I hope so too Gracie! It takes a load off worrying!

Hi Daphne! I've tried berries (blueberries and strawberries), orange, clementine or apple slices and watermelons. So far, that's it. I'll try vegetables next time although I normally just puree her veggies. Will let you know how that turns out!

plan on getting this but my main concern is cleaning it. does the mesh material clean up completely?
