RIIR by ARANAZ Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

A couple of months ago, our friend Arnel Casanova, Executive Director of Asia Society Philippines , visited us here and thoughtfully brought along presents for Dear Hubby and myself. I received a very pretty clutch with rosettes from RIIR x ARANAZ and I wouldn't have realized they were made from cotton fabric scraps! So pretty! I bet Arnel's wife, Sua, chose it herself!

Knowing the quality and craftsmanship that goes into a bag expertly handmade by RIIR's women artisans known as the “Nanays” of Payatas, I know each collection is worth looking forward to! This Spring/Summer 2010, RIIR and ARANAZ's new designs are creatively and eco-consciously made from upcycled cotton fabric scraps and organic raw materials like Pandan and Bankuang.

What great summer bags all these would make! What can I say, Rags2Riches is social entrepreneurship at its finest, most stylish, best!
