Etro

Remember, its pronounced "ay-tro"!

Now on to the good stuff! Let me tell you a story:

Once upon a time, there was a little rich girl who loved books above all things. Because Daddy made loads of money in finance, shipping and real estate, she could do as she pleased. But instead of partying with Mother's friends' kids, she would wrap her cashmere blanket around her tiny shoulders and lose herself in Daddy's vast library. She knew deep in her heart that all she wanted was to be a librarian and be surrounded by books. Good thing Mother was good friends with Nan Kempner and Mica Ertegun, who would pop in constantly to buss her cheek. It also helped that older sister Byrdie had loads of Vogue magazines from all over the world piled on what used to be Empress Josephine's gilded armchair...

Veronica Etro's designs inspired me to write a story about the sort of woman who would wear her clothes: a librarian, the classy, sensual, stylish type if there ever was one!
