Mustela Mamas & Bébés

I love how the kids still smell like babies after bathing with Mustela :)

Berry and Xavi are Mustela users since birth (check out Berry's Glossy to see what I mean). It's a staple not only during bath time, but throughout the day, and wherever they go, be it at home, at school, or at play.

I personally cannot get enough of their cologne, especially now that I am pregnant and I can't stand the smell of strong perfume. Musti and Mustela's Baby Cologne are just perfect for me and my pregnant nose.

Over the years, our Mustela line-up has expanded into all of these, from our initial bath time essentials, not counting the ones I use from the 9 months line!

With the third Little One coming soon, my current pregnant state, and with these new Mustela products just launched recently, I know for sure I'm adding more Mustela to our daily routine.

I already swear by Mustela's stretch marks products and their new Stretch Marks Care Oil really ought to be beside every expecting mom's bedside table.

For all my three pregnancies, I make it a habit to slather on lotions, creams and oils as early as the first trimester, when my skin hasn't fully stretched yet to prep it for further stretching. I have had no problems with stretch marks thanks to this practice, and I guess my genes too. Heehee.

Both Berry & Xavi have never had a problem with diaper rash too, and I credit it all to Mustela's Vitamin Barrier Cream. That's why I am stocking up on these for the newest Mr. Dychiao!

As soon as my babies put on a diaper, yes even as newborns, we slather on the Vitamin Barrier Cream right away. It's protection from urine and poop and I honestly wouldn't wait for rashes to erupt before you start using this. I swear I don't even know what diaper rash looks like, thanks to this wonder product.

We have been using Mustela's After Sun Spray already, but with a new product added to their Sun Protection Line, I am looking forward to trying their Very High Sun Protection Lotion. Very High protection talaga at SPF 50, which means 500 minutes of sun protection.

I am such a huge fan of Mustela that when they asked me to talk about how Mustela has helped me as a mom, I didn't even have to think about it. I said yes right away!

with fellow Mustela mamas Shen Cala-or and Nicole de los Angeles

It was the least I can do for Sharleen Cu-unjieng and Tammy Tancinco, the mamas who brought Mustela to our shores, and who have become my friends over the course of time since I started buying from them, because I cannot imagine how I would have to hoard Mustela abroad if not for them.

Seriously, before Mustela Philippines, I had to pack bottles of Mustela products whenever we had to go to Manila for a visit, because there was no other way to get it here then. So thank you Sharleen and Tammy for making this mommy's life so much easier, and my babies, smelling so much sweeter! Wala pang diaper rash!

And with that, I leave you with the video where Shen, Nicole and I talk about our motherhood experience, and why we love, love, love Mustela!

The Big Fun Event at Jollitown

Jollitown? Is there really such a town?

Yesiree, there was, at Hall 1 of the SMX Convention Center!

It was for one day only, and hey, we got to go join in on #TheBigFunEvent last Sunday, October 26, 2014!

It was definitely a treat for us, as with all the Jollibee Kids Club members and their families to tour Jollitown, visiting different booths, getting their passports stamped, and collecting goodies along the way.

More than just a whole day of play time, there were lots of Jollibee burgers of course...

...a stage play, live performances, games to participate in, a parade, and storytelling time throughout the day.

But with the giant inflatables and booths alone, fun was guaranteed all around. Jollitown transformed Hall 1 of SMX Convention Center into one huge indoor playground, with lines almost as long as that of Disneyland's!

There's Hat's Entertainment, where kids can pick up hats that resemble the different mascots from Jollitown:

Jollibee Bob House, where kids can slide and jump around inside this huge giant inflatable.

Bouncer Balls, an "basketball court" that lets kids jump high enough to reach basketball rings.

Dome of Bubbles, which is well, like a little planet full of bubbles. Sounds simple, but I can bet all the kids got a kick out of this!

Wish, Wait and Whoa!, where you can throw in a coin, make a wish and expect something magical to happen. Whoa!

Art Wall, where the little ones can unleash the artist within.

Like so...

Master the Burger Station, which as you can guess, is where little boys and girls learn to assemble and wrap a Yum with TLC.

Foodville, a pit stop to get a fill of Jollibee Yum burgers, yum.

Ding Dang Dong Clingers, an inflatable climbing wall...

With almost zero risk of injury because you can always literally bounce back from a fall. Haha.

Rainbow Slide, a big giant slide...

Where kids can slide down, side by side rainbows. Teehee.

As if these weren't enough, all Jollibee Kids Club kiddies who got to visit the booths got to bring home bags full of toys, as this dad of one little girl showed us! Lucky kid!

Next time, we are going first thing when Jollitown opens, so we don't have to wait in line for hours!

Want to visit Jollitown too? Sign up your kids to be members of Jollibee Kids Club. Visit  http://www.jollibeekidsclub.com/site/jointhejkc/1 for more details on how to join! See ya at Jollitown, and hopefully there'll be another one popping up soon!

H&M VIP Night at SM Fashion Hall

SM Fashion Hall is my favorite mall of all!

All the brands I like have a store there, plus all the new restaurants there make dining out so much more interesting - Tim Ho Wan, Ippudo, Tuan Tuan, 8 Cuts Burgers, and so on. But wait, with Gino's Brick Oven Pizza now open in Podium, and Juju Eats opening across Wildflour, I feel a bit of my heart is torn. Teehee.

Ok, back to my story.

The day before H&M Manila opened, I happened to be in the mall because I had already started on my Christmas shopping list. With me popping in December, I needed a head start on getting gifts for all the kids on our list.

While on my way down to the lobby to meet our driver, my heart skipped a beat when I saw that the store was pretty much ready to open, with guys cleaning the store display windows.

The red carpet was laid out in front of the entrance, complete with velvet ropes and a step & repeat backdrop. Bongga!

On launch day itself, it looked like all of Manila was equally as excited about the opening, because people sure came in droves for VIP opening night. Many were dressed to the nines, in heels and full makeup.

I learned my lesson from attending H&M Singapore's VIP Opening Night, where I ended up hobbling in heels after hours of shopping and decided this time, I would dress to shop.

I went to to the launch wearing a comfy top from Elin, skinny jeans and flats, teehee.

Honestly, I did not get to take too many photos because I was really there to shop and take advantage of the 20% discount on everything. Every time I ran into a friend, I would say, "No more chika, let's shop before the line to pay gets long!" Haha.

A quick photo before our H&M shopping marathon, c/o my friend Terry Dy

Yes, I wanted to make sure that we did our shopping fast, before the lines to the cash register got crazy long. No more fitting the clothes na din, because they have a 30 day return policy naman.

Lessons I learned, again from my H&M Singapore experience. Heehee.

But of course, here are the highlights from my H&M Manila shopping experience, which I think you should take note of.

1. The active wear section is all sorts of amazing.

If there's a section that you must constantly check out at H&M, it's the women's active wear section on the second floor.

The designs are fantastic, and the quality, for the price you pay, is not bad at all!

Then again, I am not a hardcore athlete so I may not be the best resource person for this haha. But for my pilates and yoga needs, this section floats my boat.

If you are not so much into active wear, then at least consider these active wear inspired sweat pants which I found close to the denim section. I convinced Jackie to get this pair because this is a closet must have.

You can dress it up with heels and a crisp tailored shirt, or dress it down with a tank and wedge sneakers or booties. Very Isabel Marant.

2. I just love the kids section.

While most of the guests were concentrating on the women's and men's sections, Jackie and I headed for the kids section on the top most floor. There were hardly any shoppers here, and we had the cuteness almost all to ourselves!

There were dresses, tops and sweet sweatshirts for baby girls...

Patchwork skinny jeans. They have skinny jeans for baby boys too, and I couldn't resist getting one for our baby boy coming soon!

I hoarded packs of underwear and organic cotton tank tops for my kids (Buy 2, get 1 Free - plus an additional 20% OFF!), cute accessories for Berry that she can wear for dress up play, and some bibs for our new baby boy. I was one happy mama because I scored on such great deals!

3. The best styles for women are at the ground floor.

Back at the women's section, I suggest you spend the most time combing the section on the ground floor. The more fashion forward pieces are here, as opposed to mostly basics at the second floor.

Jackie spotted this jumpsuit on the ground floor as well, yes, this exact same one worn by Liya Kebede for H&M's Fall 2014 lookbook, and a piece highlighted in Refinery29 because it supposedly resembles the uniform worn by Kurdish women fighters - which I think is just absurd.

Of course, Jackie and I bought this jumpsuit. At Php1190, less 20%, it would be crazy not to.

I almost caved in and bought these shorts. Almost.

Adorable in real life, and on Natasha Poly as well.

Maybe I'll come back for it. If H&M still has it in my size. I can just imagine that with the pandemonium on opening day itself, and excited shoppers coming to the store days after the opening, I may have to battle it out for these lace trimmed shorts.

Talk about military-inspired.

Yosi Samra Holiday 2014

Just in time for the holidays, the Yosi Samra Holiday 2014 collection comes in, and I am besotted.

Yosi Samra Philippines presented their latest collection over lunch at Blackbird two weeks ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed over chika with my seatmates Donna Cuna-Pita of Cosmopolitan Philippines, my friend Jackie Go, and Isha Andaya-Valles of Preview Magazine.

I walked away with my tummy full, and my heart longing for Yosi Samra's scaled pony hair flats.

This photo does not even do justice, I am going to go to a store and take proper photos so you can see what I mean

It comes in three color ways: black, tawny port (a wine shade of red), and oxford blue, and I am ashamed a bit to admit that I want all three.

In this kind of leather, Yosi Samra flats are just elevated to a whole new level. Quite luxe, with an elegant sheen. Like you can wear it with leather leggings, and you'll be like, oh yeah. If Victoria Beckham would wear Yosi Samras, she'd be wearing these.

I really do promise to go to a store and take photos for you to ogle at. And yes, I may just walk away with a pair. Or three. We'll see. Heehee.

That said, I shall leave you momentarily with the complete lookbook for Holiday 2014. Lots to love in here, better take note and make sure to add a pair or two to your Christmas wishlist! ;)
