Cloistered and Crazy

Last Saturday, Dear Hubby and I went to The Cloisters with our friends Me-an and Eric and their son Dominic. The Cloisters is such a lovely place, so quiet and peaceful, it's hard to believe it's right smack in Manhattan! We felt transported to Europe just by being there! I swear, I can stay there the whole day!



The Cloisters at Fort Tyron Park is described by Luxe City Guides as the:

"Hush-hush, truly spesh branch of The Met in Northernmost Manhattan, dedicated to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. The Gardens, galleries and chapel make for a beautiful mini getaway, without even leaving the island"

Incidentally, Jon Bon Jovi had a concert at Central Park that day! He sure can draw a crowd judging from this line that circled the park at 3 PM (concert was at 8 PM):
