Design Talk: How to Break Into the UK Fashion Industry

Have you ever wondered how a fashion education course from the UK can help you set-up a fashion studio in the UK? Listen to how fashion designer Lilia Yip was able to do this at a talk to be held at the British Council office today, Wednesday, 05 October 6:00pm.

Lilia is a Singaporean designer musician based in Brighton, UK. She graduated from the Royal College of Art MA Fashion Womenswear in 2008, and set up her studio in 2009. She is the UK guest designer for Look Magazine’s Look of Style Awards where she will showcase her unique conceptual designs. The Look of Style awards is a unique opportunity for a Filipino fashion designer to win a short course at Central St Martins in London where hopefully another Lilia Yip can be found.

Admission to this talk is FREE. If you reside outside Manila or are unable to attend the talk, join the live broadcast online at www.instantpresenter.com/britishcouncilph1.
