Chloë Sevigny for Opening Ceremony

Dear Hubby and I spend our weekends walking around NYC. This weekend, as we were on Howard Street on our way to Broadway Avenue, we walked past by Opening Ceremony, the hip LA/NYC boutique...

...which happens to carry an exclusive 40 piece collection designed by actress/fashion icon Chloë Sevigny. Check out a couple of her pieces below scanned from the pages of the February 2008 issue of Teen Vogue...

But because I am on saving mode these days, and have vowed to limit my spending this year (if only for a few key pieces), I try to avoid going inside shops. First to resist temptation, second to stay away from shop sales! I know it's so hard to walk away from a super good deal, but then I realized, a couple of pieces on sale, even at 80% off adds up to a whole lot, I should have just saved for one really timeless accessory or article of clothing! So sorry dearies, I have not seen the collection for myself! It did not even cross my mind to go into the store. But if your style hovers around the preppy and/or skater chick genre, then it's worth a peek, because just might find something that will pique your interest! ;)

good to know i'm not the only one on save mode. that is my new year's resolution, to resist all the sales and just buy one truly great piece. am thinking of getting a speedy, but then again, manila is on its end-of-season sale time. God help me!

sadly opening ceremony that is available in our country is only a couple of shoes...

It should be more than that! :)
