Summer Specials Part II: Sassa Summer Collection

My friends back home in Manila have been complaining about the summer heat, but that is just what I have been wanting so badly these days. It snowed so much yesterday, I was forced to stay at home. I just didn't have the desire to go out of the house and do a quick run to the grocery store! Oh well! So folks back home, you got it good! I am so jealous!!!

What's worse, I've been receiving emails left and right about summer collections and all that, I've got nothing but the sun and sand in my mind. I've been dreaming about the beach, the feel of the warm sun against my skin, drinking fresh fruit shakes under the shade of coconut trees, and of course - my summer outfits, heehee. This weekend in fact, Dear Hubby and I went to Target and Costco and the sight of outdoor furniture and makeshift cabanas reminded me so much of summers back home when I was a kid. Pure nostalgia. Trips to Batangas, idle summer days spent swimming at Tito Bobby's pool in Greenmeadows with Celine and my sisters Trina and Dianne. Boracay weekends with friends and impulsive Thelma and Louise-y drives to Punta Fuego with Xsa during our college days. Oh, and our awesome family vacation in Palawan some time back with my parents, siblings and Dear Hubby...sigh!

Which also reminds me, of how expensive swim suits are back home! My friends and I would always make a frantic dash to Rustans, Nothing But Water, Quiksilver and Stoked just to get a new set or two for an upcoming beach trip. A decent one can easily set a girl back Php5,000 and to think of how much we have been paying for so little fabric, haha!

So imagine my surprise when I saw preview photos of these swim and beach wear sent by Sassa Activewear...

Not bad eh? Best of all, these are unbelievably priced from Php200 to Php700! If you're worried about quality, these have been chlorine tested and will not fade when exposed to the sun and chlorine. Quite a good deal if you ask me. I mean, you can match these with your more expensive pieces and no one will know the better. They've got board shorts, rash guards, bikini tops, bikini bottoms, tankinis and one-piece swimsuits to supplement your beach wardrobe!

Sassa's 2009 Summer Collection was presented last February 17, 2009 at Aquaknox in Makati. All Condition Gear Philippines, Inc. supplied the Crocs footwear worn by the models. Sassa swim and active wear are available in department stores such as The Landmark Makati & Trinoma; Robinsons Department Stores; SM Hypermarts; and Metro Market Market.
