The day after the press launch, we went to the National Design Center at 111 Middle Road, to talk to Huib Kleinhout, Head of the Coast project at Opera Software and designer Kae Hana, one of 8 Singapore designers who created wallpapers exclusively for Coast by Opera:

But before we go to that, let me show you around The Showroom Space, where 22 Singapore fashion designers showed their latest Spring/Summer 2014 collection, which was only open to invited guests.
Here, press and select VIPs had the opportunity to meet the designers and discuss their collections.

While at The Showroom, I had the thrill of meeting Carolyn Kan of Carrie K.

Of course, it was amazing seeing how the designer wallpapers for Coast by Opera came to life seeing them as clothes, as with Kae Hana's print.
According to Huib Kleinhout, "In Opera, we never stop seeking inspiration and ideas. We look for inspiring people through the web, and gettting inspired by the multitude of good design in the online and offline worlds."

Huib adds.
Kae Hana, a ready-to-wear womenswear designer, is inpired by Asian prints, and says she has always been intrigued by prints and how they communicate with people.
She designs and produces her own prints and printed fabric, creating a fusion of art and style that is suitable for everyday wear, for every woman, no matter what shape or size.
