Modern Mama, Maureen, Mommy & Mini Me

My good friend and Xavi's Ninang, Gretchen Choa-Uy started Modern Mama, her baby and children's store in Banilad Town Center in Cebu three years ago.

Her store is so tastefully curated, and filled with the best finds in the entire country I swear. From Saltwater sandals to Stokke cribs and strollers. Vapor Soove chest rubs (ehem) to Lucas Papaw ointments, Aden & Anais blankets, and Emily Ley Simplified Planners. She certainly knows how to keep things fresh and exciting in store.

She never runs out of well-designed and practical finds that I cannot find elsewhere, maybe save for Amazon. In fact, it is not uncommon for me to order from her store in Cebu to be sent here, or even hand carried by Gretchen herself.

Case in point: These super chic dresses that Maureen Disini made exclusively for Modern Mama.

I just had to buy this Jim Thompson print shift dress for Berry, because Maureen made one for me in this exact same print when I was pregnant with Tepper. I still wear it up to this day, post-pregnancy, because it's the sort of loose tunic you'd want to wear when it's so hot out, but you still want to look like you made an effort to dress up.

I also want this flamingo print for me and Berry! I might just buy it in a moment of weakness. Heehee.

There are 10 more prints to choose from, all in Maureen's signature roomy tunic style.

Adult dresses are free size, while the kids dresses are available in S (2-3 y.o), M (3-4 y.o.), L (5-6 y.o) and XL (7 y.o).

As Gretchen said, "It's perfect for Donyas". To which our friend Jacqui Salonga added, "And Donyas in-the-making!"
